Since establishing diplomatic relations on December 22, 1992, the friendly and cooperative relationship between Vietnam and South Korea has been continuously strengthened and rapidly developed in various fields. For Binh Phuoc, the friendly and cooperative relationship with Jeollanam province has been increasingly consolidated and strengthened over the years. The two sides regularly maintain friendly relations, explore each other's strengths to sign cooperation agreements, promote investment, and support each other in development. This is evidenced by the international cooperation agreements signed between the two provinces, including the Memorandum of Understanding between the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province and the Provincial Council of Jeollanam on December 25, 2019, the Intent of Cooperation between the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province and the government of Jeollanam province, South Korea, on August 30, 2022, and most recently on December 21, 2022, when the People's Council of Binh Phuoc province signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Provincial Council of Jeollanam.
These practical activities contribute to strengthening the friendship between Vietnam and South Korea in general, and between Binh Phuoc and Jeollanam provinces in particular. They provide favorable conditions for promoting cooperation in economic, cultural, and social sectors, creating a solid foundation for Korean businesses investing in the province to operate with confidence and facilitating the call for Korean investors to come to Binh Phuoc and vice versa.
