Based on the collaboration between the Provincial Party Committee of Binh Duong and the Provincial Party Committee of Binh Phuoc, Becamex Binh Phuoc Infrastructure Development Joint Stock Company was established under the Business Registration Certificate No. 3800405138 issued by the Department of Planning and Investment of Binh Phuoc province on January 2, 2008.

After the preparation process, Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial and Urban Complex was officially commenced at 10:38 AM on September 14, 2015.

Attending this significant event were Comrade Le Kha Phieu - Former General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Party, Comrade Nguyen Minh Triet - Former President, along with representatives of the leadership of Binh Phuoc and Binh Duong provinces, Becamex IDC Corporation, and the leaders of Chon Thanh suburban district.

On March 16, 2018, the Provincial People's Committee organized the awarding of investment certificates and groundbreaking ceremonies for 5 projects in the Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial and Urban Complex. The companies involved were Hankuk Carbon, River Runs, Misung Industrial, Young Sung, and Hankuk Advanced Materials.

The event was attended by the Representative of the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Ho Chi Minh City, along with provincial leaders.

On December 23, 2020, the largest CPV Food export processing plant in Southeast Asia, owned by C.P Vietnam Corporation, was inaugurated in the Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial and Urban Complex. 

The event was attended by members of Political Bureau, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister – Mr. Truong Hoa Binh; Former President – Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet; leaders of Central Committees, Ministries, and Sectors; General consuls and commercial counselors of various countries; leaders of diplomatic organizations and trade promotion organizations; leaders of provinces in the Southern Key Economic Region, typical enterprises, and domestic and foreign investors.

On March 20, 2022, member of Political Bureau and Prime Minister – Mr. Pham Minh Chinh attended the inauguration ceremony of Hayat Kimya Vietnam factory; a consumer goods manufacturing facility, in Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial and Urban Complex. This is one of the most important project for the province, with a total investment of 250 million USD.

The event was also attended by leaders from the Government Office and central ministries, Leadership of Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, Dak Nong provinces, General consuls, chambers of commerce, trade promotion organizations, and business associations from nearly 40 countries and territories.

- Attracted over 1 billion USD of domestic and foreign investment into the Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Zone, contributing to sustainable revenue for the state budget.

- Provided stable employment for over 10,000 direct laborers in the Becamex Binh Phuoc Industrial Zone, contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of the local residents.

- Developed social housing projects on a large scale, meeting diverse needs of laborers and promoting socio-economic development.

- Contributed to the transformation of architectural landscapes, urban beautification in the region, and stimulated the development of services. Particularly, acted as a driving force in the formation of the future Chon Thanh town.
